Tandoori chicken Recipe

This low-fat curried chicken is flavorful. Quick to cook, and the marinade does the work—who needs takeout?

-4 tsp paprika -2 red onions, finely chopped -16 skinless chicken thighs -vegetable oil, for brushing -For the marinade -300ml Greek yogurt -large piece ginger, grated -4 garlic cloves, crushed -¾ tsp garam masala -¾ tsp ground cumin -½ tsp chilli powder -¼ tsp turmeric

INSTRUCTION

In a big shallow dish, combine lemon juice, paprika, and red onions. Slash each chicken thigh three times, then turn in the juice and let sit for 10 minutes.

STEP  1 .

Combine the marinade ingredients and pour over chicken. Mix well, cover, and chill for at least 1 hour. This can be done a day ahead.

STEP 2.

Fire up the grill. Place chicken pieces on a baking tray rack.

Grill until lightly charred and cooked through, 8 minutes per side, with a little oil.
