Perfect Gluten-Free WaffleS

It’s hard to beat a delicious waffle with a light, fluffy interior and a crisp-golden exterior. This is the gluten-free waffle recipe my family comes back to again and again! I think you’ll love them too!

– 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour – 1 tablespoon sugar – 1 tablespoon baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 2 large egg – 1 3/4 cups milk (dairy or plant-based) – 1/2 cup vegetable oil – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Ensure you have all the ingredients ready on your countertop. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk the dry ingredients together until well combined, ensuring there are no lumps.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Whisk the wet ingredients until they are well combined.

Step 3

Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Gently stir the mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can affect the texture of your waffles.

Step 4

Spray the preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the center of the iron, spreading it slightly towards the edges. Close the lid and cook according to the waffle iron's instructions, typically for 4-5 minutes, or until the waffles are golden brown and crisp.
