Oat Flour PancakeS

Oat flour pancakes are a wholesome and nutritious alternative to traditional pancakes, offering a hearty and delicious breakfast option. Packed with fiber, vitamins, and minerals, these pancakes are not only delicious but also provide a nutritious start to your day.

F– 1 cup oat flour – 1 tablespoon sugar (optional) – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon baking soda – 1/4 teaspoon salt – 1 cup buttermilk (or a non-dairy alternative) – 1 large egg – 2 tablespoons melted butter (or oil for a dairy-free option) – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the oat flour, sugar (if using), baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Ensure that the dry ingredients are well combined for an even consistency in your pancake batter.

Step 1

In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, melted butter (or oil), and vanilla extract. Make sure the wet ingredients are thoroughly mixed to ensure a uniform batter.

Step 2

Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Gently fold the mixture until just combined. Be cautious not to overmix, as this can lead to dense pancakes.

Step 3

Preheat a griddle or non-stick pan over medium heat. Lightly grease with cooking spray or a small amount of butter.

Step 4

Using a ladle or measuring cup, pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown. Repeat until all the batter is used.
