Oat Flour Banana Bread

This oatmeal banana bread is just as tasty as any classic banana bread recipe. It’s made with healthy, simple ingredients, and can even be made dairy-free. It really is the best banana bread that the whole family will love!

– 2 cups oat flour – 3 ripe bananas, mashed – 1/2 cup melted coconut oil or unsalted butter – 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup – 2 large egg – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional) – 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and set it aside.

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, melted coconut oil or butter, honey or maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, whisk together the oat flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Step 3

If desired, fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips into the batter. This step adds extra flavor and texture to your banana bread.

Step 4

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Keep an eye on the bread in the last 10 minutes to prevent over-browning.
