Gluten-Free Monkey Bread


Monkey bread is a beloved treat, known for its gooey, pull-apart goodness. For those with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease, enjoying this classic delight may seem challenging. Fear not! We bring you a gluten-free version that preserves all the scrumptious qualities of traditional monkey bread.


– 2 1/2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon xanthan gum (if not included in the flour mix) – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1 cup warm milk (dairy or non-dairy) – 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted – 1/4 cup granulated sugar – 2 teaspoons active dry yeast – 1 large egg For Coating: – 1 cup granulated sugar – 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted



1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, melted butter, and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the mixture and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, xanthan gum (if needed), and salt.

Dip each ball into melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place the coated balls evenly in the prepared bundt pan.
