Gluten-Free Cheese Breadsticks are a delicious twist on the classic breadstick recipe, catering to those with gluten sensitivities or dietary preferences. Packed with cheesy goodness and a satisfyingly chewy texture, these breadsticks make for a perfect snack or appetizer. Follow this simple five-step recipe to create a batch of irresistible gluten-free cheese breadsticks.

– 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon xanthan gum – 1 tablespoon baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed – 1 cup shredded gluten-free cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice) – 2 large egg – 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based) – 1 teaspoon garlic powder – 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional) – 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Step 1

In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten-free all-purpose flour, xanthan gum, baking powder, and salt. Add the cold, cubed butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Step 2

Stir in the shredded gluten-free cheese. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then add them to the flour mixture. Pour in the milk and continue to mix until a soft dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, you can add a little more flour.

Step 3

Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each portion into a log shape. Place the logs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them. Sprinkle garlic powder and dried oregano on top, if desired. Press the grated Parmesan cheese onto the surface of the logs.

Step 4

Bake the breadsticks in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown. Allow them to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve the gluten-free cheese breadsticks warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara or garlic butter.
