Gluten-Free Baked Donut Recipe


It’s quick, easy, made from simple ingredients, and comes together in one bowl. You don’t need a mixer, and the whole recipe can be made in about 30 minutes. 


– 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour – 1/2 cup almond flour – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted – 1/2 cup granulated sugar – 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed – 2 large egg – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1 cup buttermilk For the Glaze: – 1 cup powdered sugar – 2 tablespoons milk – 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract



Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a donut pan with non-stick cooking spray or butter. 


Step 1

In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten-free all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. 


Step 2

In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and buttermilk until well combined. 


Step 3

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; the batter should be smooth and well incorporated.


Step 4

Transfer the batter to a piping bag or a zip-top bag with the corner snipped off. Pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean.
