Chicken Biryani Recipe

These baked samosas are flavorful and filling without frying. Although easier and healthier, these samosas taste exactly as good as fried ones. Warm, simple, or with chutney.

– 4 potatoes, peeled and cubed – ¼ cup vegetable oil – 2 small onions, finely chopped – 3 tablespoons coriander seed – 1 tablespoon curry powder – 1 (1 inch) piece fresh ginger, grated – 1 teaspoon salt – 1 teaspoon ground turmeric – 1 teaspoon ground cumin – ½ teaspoon ground allspice – ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper – ⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon – 2 Roma (plum) tomatoes, finely chopped – ½ cup frozen pea – 2 (14.1 ounce) packages double-crust pie crusts, thawed – 2 large egg whites, beaten, or as needed




Putting potatoes in a big pot and adding salty water to cover them. Bring the pot to a boil. Lower the heat to medium-low, and let it cook for about 20 minutes, or until it's soft.

STEP  1 .

 After draining, move the potatoes to a large bowl and mash them up. Set them away. Warm up the oven to 200 degrees C (400 degrees F). In a large pan over medium-high heat, heat the oil.

Add the onions, coriander seed, curry powder, ginger, salt, turmeric, cumin, allspice, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon. Cook and stir the onions in the hot oil for about 5 minutes, or until the onions are lightly browned

Take the pan off the heat and add the peas and peppers. Pour over mashed potatoes that are still chunky and mix until everything is well mixed. Completely cool the filling. Separate each pie crust into 8 pieces that are all the same size.

 Put some filling on the wide end of each triangle, then fold the sides over the filling to make a triangle-shaped hat. To make a cover, pinch the dough together. Place the samosas on baking sheets and brush beaten egg whites over each one.

Samosas should be golden brown after 15 minutes in preheated oven.Baked samosas are tasty and full without frying. These healthier, easier samosas taste just like fried ones. Simple, warm, or chutneyd.
