Chicken bhuna Recipe

This simple, healthful chicken curry is a weekend crowd-pleaser. No one could refuse this decadent chicken bhuna.

-3 medium onions, 2 finely chopped, 1 roughly chopped -100ml vegetable oil -1 tbsp ginger and garlic purée -1 tbsp mild curry powder -1 tsp ground turmeric -1 tsp chilli powder -800g chicken thighs, diced -100ml natural yogurt -4 tbsp tomato purée -2 tsp garam masala




After heating a large saucepan over medium-high heat, add oil, reduce heat to low, and sauté finely chopped onions until golden brown. Season.

STEP  1 .

Stir in ginger and garlic purée, curry powder, turmeric, chilli powder, 1 tsp fine salt, and water. Stir well. Fry for two minutes, then stir in diced chicken thighs.

Pour yogurt, tomato, and onion purées into a 300ml water jug. Stir well in the pot. Simmer 15-20 minutes, stirring often, after boiling. Add garam masala in the last 2 minutes and serve.

Place yogurt, tomato, and onion purées in a 300ml water jug. Mix thoroughly in the saucepan. Increase heat until sauce boils. Simmer 15–20 minutes, stirring periodically.

Finally, add garam masala and stir for 2 minutes before serving.
