Air Fryer Pakoras Recipe

These pakoras made in an air fryer are just like the ones you love, but they don't need to be deep-fried. Don't forget the sauce to dip in the yogurt!


– 2 cups chopped cauliflower – 1 ¼ cups chickpea flour (besan) – 1 cup diced yellow potatoe – ¾ cup water – ½ red onion, chopped – 1 tablespoon salt – 1 clove garlic, minced – 1 teaspoon curry powder – 1 teaspoon coriander – ½ teaspoon ground cayenne pepper, or more to taste – ½ teaspoon cumin – cooking spray


In a big bowl, mix the potatoes, red onion, salt, garlic, curry powder, coriander, cayenne pepper, cumin, and chickpea flour until everything is well mixed.

Take the batter out and let it sit for 10 minutes. Set the air fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and heat it up.

. Use food spray to grease the air fryer's basket. Spread out 2 tablespoons of batter in the basket that has been prepped.

 Do this as many times as you can fit in the basket without the pakoras touching. Spray cooking spray on top of each pakora.

After the air fryer is hot, cook for 8 minutes. For 8 more minutes, flip and cook.

 Place the pakoras on a plate lined with paper towels. Do steps 3 and 4 again with the rest of the batter.
